The history of the productFLYING FINN
TRIBUTE TO PAAVO NURMI, ATHLETICS LEGEND!
Nicknamed "The Flying Finn", Paavo Nurmi "put Finland on the world map by running". He had the ideal morphology for a long-distance runner: 174 cm for 65 kg. Self-taught when it came to physical preparation, his training could be summed up in three elements: walking, running and calisthenics.
In 1924, over 6 days, Nurmi won 5 gold medals, of which 3 were individual and 2 team medals. But "The Flying Finn" would be remembered for his victories in the 1500 and 5000 metres. Finishing the events in less than two hours, "Le miroir des sports" magazine described him as "surpassing human limits".
