The history of the productLOCOMOTIVE TCHEQUE
TRIBUTE TO EMIL ZATOPEK, THE CZECH LOCOMOTIVE!
Emil Zátopek, "The Czech Locomotive," was the only man to simultaneously hold 8 different world records. Regarded as one of the greatest runners of all time, he set 18 world records across various distances.
The year 1952 marked his pinnacle. He successively won the 10,000 meters, the 5,000 meters, and the marathon, the latter being his first attempt at the distance (a feat never replicated since).
Zátopek is credited with interval training, now essential in physical preparation and revolutionary for its time. Inducted into the athletics hall of fame in 2012, he was awarded the Order of the White Lion by Václav Havel, becoming a Czech national hero.
