ED & TIGER, FOREVER THE FIRST ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
It's May 29, 1953, 11:30 local time. Two men, New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepali Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, become the first people to set foot on the roof of the world, a land never before touched.
This duo would soon be known as Ed and Tiger. While Ed & Tiger were the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest, journalists constantly debated which of the two men deserved the honor of being the true first. Tenzing emphasized the unity of their team and their collective achievements.
This expedition consisted of only 14 climbers, 22 Sherpas, and 362 porters carrying 10 tons of equipment.
