The history of the productHISTOIRE DE LA BOXE EN FRANCE

A BRIEF HISTORY OF BOXING IN FRANCE!

Boxing in France has undergone significant evolution over time. Initially practiced informally, boxing has organized into a regulated and popular sport.

In the 19th century emerged French boxing, characterized by the use of feet in addition to fists. This discipline gained popularity in France and was codified with specific rules.

In the early 20th century, English boxing attracts crowds to both professional and amateur fights. Here is when the most emblematic Parisian ring appeared, the Central Sporting Club, founded in 1920.

Champions like Georges Carpentier became icons. Despite periods of prohibition and controversy, boxing continued to thrive in France and remains a popular sport in the country.
