“Head in the handlebars” or “Tete dans le guidon” in French, this expression naturally comes from the world of cycling.

Evoking the image of a cyclist in full effort, bent over his bike, who has little time to think of anything else. Figuratively speaking, it describes a person overwhelmed by his or her activities, unable to take a step back from the situation in which he or she finds him or herself. And yet, sports are undoubtedly one of the healthiest ways to take a step back. The body needs to be revitalized.
