History of the product
THE CHECKERED JERSEY.
The most famous French clubs wearing checkered jerseys are the Union Bordeaux Bègles and the US Romans.
But some clubs had fun creating checkered versions of their jerseys by being creative with their colours.
It is this poster made by the illustrator André Galland (1886-1965) inspired this jersey. The idea was to associate red with blue and white. Developed from a Jacquard loom capable of realizing those checkers and therefore inspired by a 1920’s poster, this vintage style from the 90’s jersey is very popular.
